Kidney stone care in Varanasi
Kidney or ureteric stones, often called pathri or Mutrashmari, need a plan based on their size, location, obstruction and symptoms. Side pain, blood in urine and painful urination can also have other causes. Do not choose treatment from stone size alone without a clinical review.
Reports and suitability
Bring ultrasound or CT reports, urine tests, kidney-function results and previous prescriptions. At Aarogyam Shri Ayurveda, discuss whether complementary care is suitable while keeping urology advice coordinated. Some small stones pass naturally, while obstruction, infection, severe symptoms or larger stones may require a procedure.
Diet and follow-up
Fluid advice depends on kidney function, heart health and other restrictions. Stone analysis and, where advised, urine testing help guide prevention. Do not follow a highly restrictive stone diet or take herbal stone-breaking products without assessment. Ayurveda cannot guarantee dissolution of every stone or avoidance of surgery.
Follow-up imaging may be needed to confirm passage and check for obstruction, even if pain improves. Do not delay a recommended urology procedure or stop prescribed medicines on your own.
Urgent warning signs
Fever or chills with side pain, inability to pass urine, uncontrolled pain, persistent vomiting or worsening illness needs urgent hospital care. This is especially important with a single functioning kidney, pregnancy or known kidney disease.
