Neck pain and cervical spondylosis in Varanasi
Neck or shoulder stiffness can be related to work habits, muscle strain or age-related cervical changes. Scan findings do not always explain symptoms. Arm tingling, weakness or balance changes need a careful clinical review.
Your consultation
At Aarogyam Shri Ayurveda, bring existing X-rays or MRI reports and prescriptions. The clinician reviews pain, neck movement, hand symptoms, work setup and any injury. Tests or a spine opinion may be advised where findings warrant them.
Posture, movement and supportive care
Workstation adjustments, regular movement breaks and individual exercises may be useful. Discuss whether external Ayurveda therapies such as Greeva Basti are appropriate for comfort alongside rehabilitation. These do not guarantee reversal of cervical degeneration or nerve compression. Do not begin forceful manipulation or unsupervised neck exercises.
Any prescribed Ayurvedic medicine should be checked against current treatment. Ask about skin and heat precautions, therapy frequency and how progress in daily activities will be assessed.
When to get urgent help
Rapidly worsening pain, new arm or leg weakness, walking difficulty, loss of coordination or bladder/bowel-control changes need urgent assessment. Sudden facial droop, speech difficulty or inability to lift an arm is an emergency.
Related care: sciatica and lower back pain.
